Ruediger John

About

Ruediger John is an artist, educator and author. He creates process-oriented, situative, installative, interventionistic, research and publication-oriented works and exhibitions and is known for his theoretical and practical work in Artistic Research, Critical Aesthetics and Systemic Art. He has been teaching students and educators in Fine Arts and Art Education (BFA & MFA) and MBA degree programs since 2000 as adjunct professor for "installative, situative working, contextualization, cognitive aspects, mixed-media" at the State Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Stuttgart, as interim professor for "art/art and design sciences - sculpture/space" at the University of Applied Sciences in Pforzheim, as visiting professor for "art and economy - systemic art, artistic research" at the University for the Arts in Berlin, and as visiting professor for "aesthetics & culture, artistic intervention & transdisciplinarity, and process-oriented art" at the University of Arts and Social Sciences in Bonn. He has been invited to lecture at a.o. the Berlin-Brandenburgische Universität der Wissenschaften, the Karlsruher Institut für Technologie, the Zeppelin University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the California Institute of the Arts.
